Aerial Firefighting Asia Pacific 2016 Conference/Trade Exhibition

      

        The 505th Search and Rescue Group represented by LTC IRVIN TANAP (Deputy Group Commander of the 505th Search and Rescue Group) and MAJOR BADONG DEE (The innovative pilot who devised an effective way to extinguish forest fires at a high elevation during the Mount Apo fire of 2016) attended the Aerial Firefighting Asia Pacific Conference and Exhibition in Adelaide, Australia on September 5 & 6, 2016.

        The Aerial Firefighting Asia Pacific 2016 conference will address how government organizations and emergency services can challenge and support the aviation industry to begin a journey of continuous improvement and partnership, so that the global firefighting community can improve efficiency and dramatically reduce the risks associated with aerial firefighting.

        They presented the Aerial Firefighting Support to Civil Authorities in the Philippines, highlighting the forest fire incident of Mt. Apo in Davao City. The said conference and exhibition, aims to share our aerial firefighting operations and to improve the said operations and to learn advance techniques from the different firefighting contingents.
