"ANGELS IN ACTION"

      

        On 23 August 2016, while conducting combat operation, SO901 and SO903 of SFCQC Cl 09-15 together with the operating troops of 9SRC discovered an enemy camp having twelve (12) bankers and one (1) ctrg of RPG connected to a wire believed to be an emplaced IED at Brgy Duga-a, Tuburan, Basilan.

       The troops were fired by undetermined number of ASG which lasted for one (1) hour. Three (3) military personnel were wounded and unfortunately, three (3) were declared KIA. The casualties were evacuated to Lamitan Hospital for immediate treatment while waiting for air evacuation.

       The PAF Air Ambulance arrived at Lardeco, Basilan and picked up the three (3) WIA and two (2) KIA in a 3-sortie flight and were brought to Camp Navarro Hospital for proper attention.
